The basic chat has modest PHP requirements. Video and push features add some optional capabilities.

Use the free server check
Download the ZIP, extract SelfHostedChat-server-check.php and upload it to the directory where you plan to install SelfHostedChat. Open the PHP file there in your browser; the result then applies to that server.
Delete the checker from that server after testing so that technical server information is not left publicly accessible.
